During today's regular post-cabinet media conference, a heated debate ensued when CNC3's reporter, Sampson Nanton asked about allegations made by Trinidad & Tobago's former Trade and Industry Minister, Dr Keith Rowley.
Trinidad & Tobago's Works & Transport Minister Colm Imbert denied any knowledge of claims made by the former PNM Minister and refused to answer whether T&T's Prime Minister Patrick Manning would be required to appear before the Commission.
A Commission of Enquiry into the Construction Sector has been appointed to investigate allegations of misconduct of UDeCOTT (Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited) including procurement practises and other possible corrupt activites alledged by the Ex-Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley. Dr. Keith Rowley was fired in April 2008 by PM Patrick Manning following alledged unruly behaviour.
The Commission of Enquiry into the Construction Sector was announced in July 2008 by T&T's Government and will be headed by British Professor, John Uff. Today, the rest of the members of the Commission were announced. The Commission will begin later this month (September 2008) with a full report due in 1 year (September 2009).

This would be interesting to see. It is really amazing that UDeCOTT is still being run (and therefore being paid) when they are accused of such weighty charges. It is even more amazing that they are given more contracts after the fact too.

why does shelly d ass have to talk so fast? it is so stupid. she should go and take a broadcasting course or something. she should take a lesson from samantha john. samantha is so professional and is encouraging to watch. shelly is such a turn off with her too fast tongue and same everyday lipstick.
